Tucked inside a 1929 railroad warehouse in downtown Austin, The Roosevelt Room has grown into one of Texas’ defining cocktail destinations. Since opening in 2015, it has carved out a reputation not just for world-class drinks, but for setting a new benchmark in service and hospitality for the city.

The venue is expansive, its 3,750 square feet holds space for up to 230 guests across two distinct levels. The Main Bar is twice the size of most cocktail venues, with its sweeping 36-foot bar counter and surrounding booths designed to comfortably host groups. A carefully orchestrated service model with three bartenders, multiple wells, and attentive hosts ensures that despite the scale, each guest feels looked after. At its heart is the Classics Board – a curated list of 53 drinks spanning seven eras, from Pre-1880s staples through the tiki heyday and into modern creations. Each recipe has been carefully adapted, balancing reverence for tradition with a house twist, such as adding pisco to an Aviation or cinnamon syrup to the Lion’s Tail. Alongside this sits a rotation of House Creations, seasonal staff-driven innovations, and thoughtful non-alcoholic selections. Every drink is served with precision, right down to the ice with seven distinct types are employed, from hand-carved spears to stamped cubes, each chosen for its role in presentation and dilution.

The bar’s design matches its ambition. Black-and-gold finishes, candlelit tables, herringbone wooden floors, and marble accents create an atmosphere that feels timeless yet modern. Projected classic films, carefully managed lighting, and bespoke scents layered through the space enhance a sense of immersion without distraction. Music evolves through the night, shifting from soul and indie rock into hip-hop and electronic, always calibrated to complement conversation rather than overpower it.
