Spirits Selection
With a collection of over 300 bottles, N/5’s backbar is built for discovery. Whisky is a particular strength, from rare single malts to modern blends. Selection is intentional, curated to broaden the palette of flavours available to both bartenders and guests.
Seasonal Rituals
At set moments, N/5 offers an aperitif paired with a daily changing canapé. This detail underscores the bar’s approach to hospitality, as do the little gifts sometimes given to guests at certain times of the year, such as festive panettone.

N/5 – The Bar is housed within the Grace La Margna Hotel, a property originally built in the early 1900s and reimagined as a boutique luxury hotel in recent years. The venue’s design process was careful and deliberate, aiming to preserve the building’s historic atmosphere while introducing modern refinements.
The look and feel of the space reflect the hotel’s ethos: sophisticated but not austere, welcoming yet elegant. Attention to detail is visible throughout the interiors, with design choices that nod to heritage while accommodating today’s guests. With capacity for 80, N/5 balances scale with comfort, ensuring the environment feels crafted rather than crowded.
The cocktail programme is rooted in reinterpretation and narrative. Guests can expect a mix of reimagined classics and new creations, shaped by seasonal ingredients and alpine influences. Technical tools such as clarification, infusion and distillation are used with purpose, allowing the team to refine flavours while maintaining balance. Non-alcoholic drinks are given equal attention, often using kombucha as the base, or incorporating unusual ingredients such as porcini mushrooms. Presentation is important – glassware is chosen to frame the liquid – and stored in the freezer at -11°C. Garnishes, which are often by-products of the drink preparation process, provide subtle sensory cues.
Rituals are part of the bar’s identity. At selected times, the evening begins with an aperitif and canapé pairing, a gesture that blends theatre with generosity. Behind the bar, training focuses on both technical mastery and storytelling, with regular tastings, experiments and team learning sessions supporting growth.
The team also engages beyond the venue, contributing to charitable causes through fundraising and awareness initiatives in partnership with the hotel. Staff involvement ensures that these efforts are tangible, adding a meaningful social dimension to the bar’s refined service.
“Every staff member we passed greeted us kindly, Conversation was easy, and their hospitality felt really genuine. They were excited to show me things or give me information, and I just loved it.”
